Coolant Tank Upgrade Is Here for the 11th Gen Si and 5th Gen Integra

For this blog we’ve got the nitty gritty of what we cooked up in the form of our upgraded overflow tank. Well tease no more as all the juicy details are all laid out here.
First, let’s talk about materials.
We knew the stock OE factory plastic had to go. In its place we opted for tried and true aluminum construction like we use in our other coolant tanks. Aluminum has the advantage of not deteriorating like plastic after many heat cycles. It also doesn’t yellow or get brittle. We fully seam weld these tanks then powder coat them in a durable black finish so they last. We apply a subtle etch with our “27WON” logo right at the very top to give off some style points…you know we couldn't just leave these bare.

Ok, what about hardware.
Well, we use a banjo bolt connection to mate with the factory coolant feed line. This ensures factory like fitment and a leak proof seal at the tank. Once you remove the factory tank all you need to do is connect the coolant line to the new tank at this connection.

Checking the fill level is pie as well.
We employ a traditional sight glass here that’s visible from the front of the car. Once you can see coolant in the sight glass you are good. Filled it past the top of the glass? Well, now you may have too much. Drain some out if it’s much over the middle of the sight glass. Anywhere from just visible from the bottom to the middle is just right!

Topping off the overflow tank are our 27WON Billet Aluminum Caps in your choice of Black or Red. Each has a seal built right into it that lets the tank vent pressure when needed just like OEM. This ensures trouble free lifetime operation. Bonus: Get a matching 27WON Oil Cap to match your new coolant tank.

The Si and the Integra with the 6 Speed Transmissions are going to have their own respective fitments.
The Si has one additional bracket that the Integra does not have. Not that this is going to add much complexity. With our mobile app instruction via Dozuki, installation on either platform only takes about 15 minutes.
